... it's northern tip to it's southern tip takes barely twenty minutes going golf cart speed.
The northern end of the island, ten blocks long by 4 blocks wide, is where all the action is. Festive, crowded streets (Christmas time is also vacation time for many Mexicans) open-air shops with colorful souvenirs, tiny restaurants of every kind, little grocery stores on almost every corner, and outside every establishment is someone smiling ...
... as well. The next day, while waiting for our dive bag, we explored the town a little.
We took a ferry from Cancun over to Isla Mujeres on Tuesday afternoon, and that was our first glimpse of the beautiful, clear waters here on the coast. We met a guy on the ferry who is from California, but has lived here for 16 years on his sailboat. He gave us some great pointers about the island!

... drove a bit more with our Catamaran and got to the center of Isla Mujeres: a tinny little town, which reminded us a bit of Jamaica( probably especially the smell of weed). We went to the beach and took a refreshing bath in the sea, and just enjoyed.
On our way back, we were sitting outside of the Catamaran, and we were just thinking: there is nothing that could make this moment any better...and that's the feeling of every moment we spent in ...
