... this mass. It’s so funny!

The cheers get louder as someone gets closer to the top. Guys and girls were going at it trying to reach the top, sometimes as a team, other times it was all for one. The funniest would’ve been a man who showed up naked with only a bum bag on. He first up gave us a willy dance before trying to climb the pole hahaha. He appeared more the once.

As it reached 11am the crowds grew really thick and it ...

The plan today was to walk to a place called Plaza de la Virgen and join a walking tour. The tour started at 10.30, by which time I was hopelessly lost at the other end of the city. Apparently I was supposed to turn right when leaving my hotel instead of left. I found myself near the bullring so I figured this was a good place to start the day. First I had some breakfast, unlike my hotel in Madrid, my current hotel dies offer breakfast but its ...

Being a conservative and looking to the past for wisdom, Salazar did not seek economic diversity as a point of Portugal’s growth. Portugal stuck solely to manufacturing and the natural resources it could provide the international community. ...

... afternoon. A number of weddings were taking place and church bells were ringing everywhere with crowds of people dressed up and having fun.

There were a lot of old refurbished buildings alongside a surprising number of buildings that had been left to decay. The streets were very clean but there was a lot of graffiti on the buildings. They had a late dinner of tapas before heading back to their hotel to settle down.

... because his girlfriend is apparently from Virginia and he was going to visit her soon. He also told us that there were going to be fireworks (a pyrotechnic display as he called it) in the main square starting soon and that we should watch it. When we got to the city center, there weren't a lot of people there, even though the fireworks started in about half an hour. We looked for an ice cream stand and then walked over to the Cathedral to check that out ...
