        We left McLeod Ganj at 10am which was a far more civilised time than the buses at 5am and 6am,

        We had opted for the luxury of our own driver as this also gave us the option to stop whenever we wanted to for food/drinks/washroom/leg stretches/photographs.

        Almost as soon as we left McLeod Ganj which mean dropping 500m, it stopped raining and the sun shone on us for the first time properly in days.

        As we dropped lower and lower it got warmer ...

        Shimla would be a very nice place to visit on a sunny day. It's a decent size town that straddles the shoulder of a mountain and has lots of windy streets, many of which are pedestrianised which is very refreshing in India. I ended up taking a walk by myself as Elisa was feeling too cold ...
