Our last day in Japan is full of travel - of practically every variety.
We left our hotel in at 7:30am to catch a regional train straight south for two hours to Maibara. At Maibara, we caught the Shinkansen SUPER-Express to Tokyo. SO FAST! Zoom zoom zoom. Wonder if we were going over 200 mph? We arrived at Tokyo Station around 12:10pm. The trains in this country are remarkably precise. I think ...
I'm currently on Narita airport! Just got my passport checked and stuff and now on my way to get my luggage! Can't say I'm tired again. I'm wide awake and ready for Japan! So after take off everyone had the luxury of a row of 5 seats to stretch out on and snooze. business Class was never that good. Jude and I are hoping for a repeat on the Tokyo to Paris leg. We wish! We arrived ...
... and remember watching a movie about it back home. You are supposed to light some incense and sort of bathe in the smoke wishing for something. It can take away pain or give beauty, whatever you wish for. It was neat to stand there enveloped by the smoke just wishing for anything. I wished for us to be healthy again and not to get injured on our travels. I hope it will still come true now that I’ve told you. We walked up the stairs to the temple and removed our shoes. ...
