The zoo was built in the actual tropical forest so you felt that you were seeing the animals in something fairly close to their natural environment. ... the huge East Coast Park area - another went into Clark Quay and negotiated the metro to get to Orchard Rd - just meandered along looking at the fabulous shops - the only purchase some crocs for Mike. Then went house hunting with him Sat afternoon - looking at places of over $1m and they were all leasehold!!!! - quite an experience. We are so lucky living in NZ.
