    Today I headed off North to Nagano on a morning bullet train from Tokyo. I will be using Nagano as a base for visiting other locations over my 2 day stay here due to its ease of commuting back to Tokyo. My plan for this first day was to arrive in Nagano, drop my bags off at the station luggage lockers and then head on a bus out to Jigokudani wild snow monkey park.     The hotel had organised a morning walk at 6.30am. We were driven to near Kurobe River to see the sunrise at the gorge. There were monkeys playing and sitting on the road. Some didn't care that a car/bus was coming along and continued grooming. The Kurobe Gorge is the largest V-shaped gorge in Japan.
