... We stayed clear of the left lane for the most part and did remark that three hot machines blew by us(on each others tail) as if we were standing still and we were doing 130 kmh. Some things never change!!!

As I write, we are enjoying a refreshment in our Hotel zum Muehle located on the Rhine River. A wonderful setting but not enough good light for pics when we arrived. Tomorrow after breakfast (our standard routine) will work much better. We have ...

... our ship is docked so we walked a bit and were in the shopping/pedestrian district and we just meandered around for a few hours. I bought some shoes I wanted to buy before we left so that was nice. We had a little misty rain but nothing too bad. The Romans were fairly sophisticated in their infrastructure, for example, in 1995 when installing a new sewerage system the contractors discovered the remnants of a bricked sewer tunnel with ran for at least 130 metres towards the river. ... a museum, but a family home of sorts, if you can call a castle which housed over a 100 family members requiring several hundred servants a "home." It really put things into perspective.

... we looked much younger....but most likely it was our unfashionable travel clothes that the older cashier could not place! Being a Monday we missed out on Bonn's many museums but that will give us an excuse for visiting the girls again!
