      ... since the apartment is at only a few minutes walk from two train stations on a very practical line towards different areas of the city. And towards those stations many shops can be found, offering all kinds of goods and food.

      As I said, the apartment would have to be a compromise. Having seen the other options, the more I think about it the more I get convinced that this was right choice. So, new home in the pocket, one step closer to the start.

      ... and an entire block of restaurants and bars. There was a huge park and people flying giant kites along the Rhine. And that was about it. Because everything else was closed. Today we learned that All Saints Day is a national holiday here and not the best day to explore a city. The more you know. Tomorrow we start our road trip! We are picking up the car at the airport and then off to Amsterdam! I'm excited to have a bit more freedom in when we go ...

      ... a church, as it was well lit, and it was a rather warm night. We were munching happily on grapes and tuna salad when we heard a sudden noise very close to us. It sounded like something was crashing out of the trees around us! Very surprised, and a little scared, we looked around frantically for the source of the commotion.       ... Carlos got home. After talking the night before about Mexican cuisine he was suddenly craving it, so we both ended up going to one of the only Mexican restaurants in town for take out. We ordered a variety of items to split (tacos, quesadillas, nachos, etc), and though the meats were good, they all still had a German touch with milder spices and lots of garnishing and lettuce.
