    ... so we could look round it.
    They were set in trees and grassland, and we've seen lots of birds too - chaffinch, sparrows, starlings, fiedlfare, jays, magpies, pigeons(!), blackbirds, a stork and we heard a woodpecker and a curlew. We also saw a magnificent horned goat and 13 deer.

    ... just north of Gdansk on Monday, we found a shop selling gluten free products and in the supermarket here yesterday we found a section with GF bread and muesli. (Also pasta, etc, but that's less useful without a kitchen!)
    Today we've explored the 14th century castle, and museum with lots of information (in English) about Nicolaus Copernicus, most famous as an astronomer, but also the Administrator for this area who brought in a bread ...

    Yesterday very successful day chasing ancestors - went tp szczytno (ortelsburg) ,Olsztyn ( Allenstein ), sadowo near biskupiec, alt keykuth in polish stare kiejkuty - there is supposed to be a secret CIA post there. Off to the airport at gdansk. At the airport now. Poland must have the craziest drivers in the world. They overtake on double lines and push opposing traffic off the road!!     Incredible day in Poland - our hotel st Bruno was an old fortress on the Mazury lakes. Went for a beautiful long walk along the lake.     ... But the roads in ,rural Poland are soooo bad!! We h ave been on the road for 5 hours already and still have heaps to go and today wasn't even supposed to be much of a driving day!!!
