... the end of the tour we had some lunch at a kebab place and then it was on the bus for about 4 hours to get to our stop for tonight in Poznan Poland. The road was all freeway or Autobahn and as we drove along at about 100 Klm, cars were just flying past..we stopped at a roadhouse after crossing the border to change some money as Poland don't use the Euro they have Zolta ! Yeah and I have no idea of exchange rates after now being up to ...

... br> We ask if it is possible to have a quick look inside the stadium and are told that there are official tours but it is a few hours before the next one starts and we have to get back to the hotel to get our stuff before leaving for the airport. As we pass the security guard who pointed out our error with the shop doors we ask her as well and she directs down a tunnel to a gateway where we can get a decent view of the inside of the stadium through a metal ...

... get home.
Whilst in this part of town we go to see the large memorial adjacent to the bar where twin crosses to commemorate the victims of the June 1956 demonstrations against communism. Next to the crosses is a statue to remember Adam Mickiewicz, a famous Polish poet. We couldn't quite understand things here as the statue appeared to be that of a female - sorry all, just our impression.
We walked back to the large building where The Dubliner was located, ...

... after being bombed level during WW2. With the exception of a couple of concrete monstrosities in the centre which need bombing again, the square is beautiful. The old merchant houses are all painted in bright colours with high gabled fronts and with bars and restaurants all around the sides of the square I can imagine we will be spending quite a bit of time here over the next few days.
We stop into the Tourist Information office but they seem to be a bit short ...

... or...obvious. Hey,....I dug it. CP played best gig or tour so far to the tiny crowd, but hey what evs, we had a ball. F.ingers were great, very suited to the space-ethereal. Sam and I were put up by sound guy Piotr and his wife Malina ( a play write). Stunning little flat, and very friendly hosts. Sam and I bonded over some single malt. Best night sleep of the tour so far. Today to ...
