... one mentioned that once you got to the entrance gate, it was at least as far again, if not more, to the palace gallery where the Klimts are. I walked up there (I stress the "up") but decided not to go in as I really am not interested in Klimt. But the gardens are beautiful and well worth seeing. Then walked back down (!) and went into the old stables where they have all the mediaeval works, which are impressive.

... a boat in Spitz on the Danube and rode to Melk. Relaxed on the boat where they served wonderful desserts. I think we have eaten our way through this part of the world eating strudel! So yummy!! Such beautiful countryside! Our driver picked us up in Melk and there we were able to see the Benedictine Abbey from the 11th century. All in all, a great day. One side note...our driver Steilos is attending a university in Vienna. Cost is 19 euros per course! ...
