I literally shot this from our back porch of the farmer who owns this place working with his cow. He told Norma in his broken English, you stay here one week and you never leave. Of course, in his defense, he doesn't understand her aversion to any temperatures south of 55 degrees.

... that Marion’s bag may have been left in the rain, as it was quite wet on arrival in Bangkok – thank goodness for plastic bags). ... Vienna.This island was created when the Danube canal was dug alongside the Danube river and is the excavated earth from that project. It is kilometres long and covered in trees and open, grassy areas some of which had been cut for hay. We rode along one of the many cycling paths (no cars here) dodging between the cyclists, skateboarders, rollerbladers etc till we came to the Reichsbrucke bridge, turned right into Vienna and quite quickly found our hotel, the Austria Trend ...

Free our lazy day on Saturday we had a full agenda on Sunday which more than made up for it. As it was our last full day in Vienna and of our holiday, we wanted to make the most of it. Having sampled regional delicacies throughout our holiday all that remained was the humble Sachertorte. Where better to have one than the famous hotel Sacher, where it originated.
