... it to Hatajuku (it took a little under 2 hours and was close to a 4 mile hike). A group of Japanese college students were also waiting for the bus. They quickly made room for Will and I on the lone bench then entertained us with dancing and songs while we waited for the bus. They also kindly offered for us to board first (we declined), but insisted Will and I take the one remaining seat. The bus ride passed quickly. We hiked past station 4 and ended up around station 3 before taking a bus back to the starting station in Kawaguchiko, right across from my hostel. We all said our goodbyes and I decided I wanted to try and get an awesome lake/Mt. Fuji sunset view before the sun retired for the day. I was advised ...

Today at breakfast we were seated at the other side of the room where the printed placements reflected the names of the towers we could view. Yesterday's placements depicted that view and we pity the poor trainee who might muck the placemats up! After receiving such attention to her personal meal requirements, they must have been happy to wave Naomi off. Just as well we still had Kaoru (our guide) to help us navigate our way to Shinjuku station, though the unforgiving ticket gates ...
