... I reckon we wouldn't recognise some of the places we have been to or seen.

On New Year's Eve, after a day of exploring, we sat in our hotel cafe, enjoyed pizza and Austrian wine while waiting for midnight. Mum, Dan and I made the most epic snowman before tea! It was almost as tall as Dan.

In Austria it is legal for the public to buy and set off fireworks. All night people were letting off ones here and there. The were very loud and very close. ...

... the ski hire place in our little town and asked about hiring skis for me and a snowboard for Ben. It seems like its really cheap here it was only 12 euros to hire for half a day. There are plenty of little ski slopes around here with their own ski lifts which are apparently very cheap to use. There is no big ski resort in this area with lots of slopes, but it seems it will be good for us to pick it up again here because its not so steep. Hopefully we can do that ...

... went home via some Advent markets and while Grace napped in the stroller, Mitch got to make a lantern in the 'kinder' hut while I enjoyed a gluhwein and warmed my fingertips in peace.

... nice guy – we chatted for the better part of an hour I think and he even let us into the private garden in the monastery where we had the greatest view of Salzburg possible I think, especially with the sun setting in the background.
