Lost in Leuven
... convenience store near our place, but got sidetracked while hunting down fries. So of course, we lost our sense of direction and wound up in the ghetto of Leuven (still no Bethlehem though). The streets were made of sand, the stores were all run by sketchy looking people, and oh- there was a condom vending machine on the street. Classy! We finally found a map on the road and realized we had walked a solid mile or two our of our way. At least I burned off some of those french ...

It was right in the heart of the 'cocktail district’ and during the day the street was packed to watch Brazil v Holland on the big screen. It was a good ...
Arriving in Brussels and our first day in Leuven
... with rhubarb ice cream on top. Oh My God it was good. The tartness of the warm rhubarb, the sweet crunch of the crisp topping and the sweet cold ice cream was to die for. I have to learn how to make this.
We stroll back a mile or so to our hotel content after a great finish to our first day. I know we will sleep well at Begijnhof Congreshotel tonight after having napped in that amazingly comfortable bed already. Big fluffy down comforters here I ...
