Didn't wake up till 9, but managed to catch the 1040 KLIA express to Putrajaya, We were led to believe the sight seeing bus left a 11am, we arrived at Putrajaya a 1055 only to discover the bus left at 1030am ..plan b we do it by taxi, given the choice of budget or luxury we lashed out and wasted 150 ringits. After being given our coupon we approached the driver and he looked disgusted that he had to a sightseeing tour and only gave the barest of info. Our friends from ...
... on our estimated time, we flew over Uluru. We had plotted out the route a few days before and knew we would fly over it and the stewerdess had got confirmation from the captain for us that we were almost there.
So right on time we had our cameras ready and clicked away. Most shots of Uluru are from the ground so we were really pleased the arial views came out so well.
Better still, we don't now need to pay £100s to go and see it on the ground!
... more shopping! We went to Starbucks where I finally perfected my coffee with just half a shot as it'd been giving me the shakes! Its so surreal ordering christmas flavours when it's so hot and sunny outside! Once we'd found Katy we got in a taxi to the Merana Tower, one of the tallest communication towers in the world measuring over 400m, taller than the Petronas Towers. ... going everywhere with heaps of different nationalities. Almost had breakfast at O'Briens Irish a Cafe until I insisted on something more local. The coffees nice here - and welcome after the longish flight from Brisbane. I never knew it would be tiring sitting waiting for a flight - but it is.
