        We arrived in Durnstein early in the morning and walked into and through the town with a very informative guide. This is a little community of about 800 carved into a 'dry stone' hillside with lots of vineyards on the steep hills.         We continued through the vineyards and villages and soon spotted the Burgruine Dürnstein Ruins silhouetted on top of mountain ahead of us. And soon we could see the town of Dürnstein, with its blue steepled church at the Donau's edge below.
