      ... I saw Sannie I said how glad I was that I had her muff. Then she said "That is my favorite, I can't replace it." Then I thought "oh no, what did I do with it." I couldn't remember taking it off. Why can't I keep up with head covers? I headed to the room to look on the bed where I put my coat, then I went out to the bikes to look in the helmet, then I went to the front desk to check the lost and there it was! Whew! I will not borrow it again. ...

      ... stay open in this weather? The one shop we did go into let us taste some apricot schnapps. Apricots are big here.       ... Wisteria was draping over arched doorways and fences. The wildflowers along the way are more varied in color with purple lupine, pink clover, white daisies and red poppies showing up here and there in patches.

      The town of Spitz was one of our favorites. It had lots of charming Pensions, "Zimmer Frei" signs and cozy restaurants. It has a cute little train station with bike rental place.
