The museum itself is housed in the original workshop and contrary to what one might think it houses a wide range of vintage cars, motorcycles and bicycles. It is a small, private museum, which has support from Mercedes Benz, who lent the 2010 Formula One Mercedes from Michael Schumacher to the exhibit. The actual Leica exhibit was tiny and actually not that interesting.

The butterfly house was pretty cool, but you have to be careful that you don't step on any. The fish are always cool to photograph, but its pretty tricky. In low light without a flash, you have to up the ISO sensitivity and lower the shutter speed. Usually slow moving targets are the best!

So I flew to Mannheim, courtesy of Ryanair (who doesn't love air travel at prices of £20 a flight?!) and met my friend that I'd worked with in Italy for a couple of months. It was pretty late, so a quick stop to the cleverly named Turkish restaurant Istanbul and then to bed!
The next day I encountered my first ever pretzel, covered in a pound of cheese I should add, went ice skating only to find myself being overtaken by 6 year olds and enjoyed my first dining experience ...
