After an excursion in Pfortzeim yesterday to do some shopping and to check out the bike path, we found our way back to the city. It had been totally flattened during the war and was rebuilt. Only a few old buildings remain on the outskirts. We started off heading along the wrong river so, when we discovered our mistake, we headed off on a road route given to Lilli by a man from whom she had ...

Some mornings, Courtney and I would watch wedding after wedding come through the city building from out window or down in the town square over a drink. We lost count after about 9 weddings in 2 days. In Heidelberg we explored ...

A travel blog entry by priscahoffsta on Jun 13, 2014

Today my dad, my aunt Andrea and my little sister jump into the Old Rhine, a little swimming spot. We go under water and listen to all the funny sounds. "I heard a flounder" "what's it say?" "There are no cops ahead" "ok good let's go". As inconspicuously as can be (we don't want to be a bad example for the kids) we drift out to the real Rhine. The moment we entered it we started floating ...
