... and split by the German/Swiss border. So right now, across the lake we can stare at the wonder that is the Swiss Alps, and very fetching they look too. All hickeldy-pickledy and some rising up well above the horizon of Bodensee. The lake is so enormous that, like Titicaca, it has a beach. We are way too tired to lay on the beach. It's warm here. And, obviously, dry. Last night was another freezing one in Alsace and, beautiful as the spot was, it was nice to ...

We were turned away from the campsite as it was full but they told us we could park for 12 hours around where the swimming pool carpark was. Perfect. ... few undulations for good measure). Along this road we were overtaken by literally hundreds of motorcyclists ..... Zoom, zoom, zoom ...... they kept coming in waves for about 30 minutes or more. It was a bit scary hearing them approaching us from behind and then being overtaken by so many. By the time we got to the bottom of the hill they were still coming. It caused quite a commotion in this little town and there were lots of people who'd gathered to wave them by. We joined ...

... long ago. It reminded me of a modern-day cruise ship - though it was scary to read that they had actual dedicated smoking facilities on a hydrogen-filled dirigible!

After the museum, we went to the lakeshore to climb the Moleturm, an open staircase leading to a lookout tower. Nice views of the town and the Lake. We spent a little more time wandering the town, and found a Zeppelinbrunnen - a fountain with an airship motif. But it ...
