Hit the 2000 mile mark today North of Warsaw Still without a map of Russia but we bought the other essentials (wine, shampoo, vodka and brioche). Using the trusty compass to get by and shaking it when it doesn't agree with us! At least we are driving through beautiful countryside with lots of storks, wherever we are heading. Heard from another team that it took them 5 hours to get over the Russian border so trying to get there early with our camping ...

Additionally he wanted to explain that not all Polish people are coming to England for work and that there are good and bad in all people. We agreed to agree on that for sure along with the fact that Poland is a beautiful country. This area in particular is fantastic for a holiday.

Another hour gained today so we are only 1 hr a head of UK time.

Once we packed up our things and loaded up the car, we made one last stop at the top of the bell tower and then made our way out of Wigry. Krys plotted a new route heading back to Warsaw, this time headng south along the eastern border of Poland, in search of some old ...

          ... to hit the road!

We wound our way out of Warsaw, and soon the open road was ahead of us. We popped into Lomza temporarily, but didn't really find anything open, so just stretced our legs and plugged on through to Augustow. Once we made it here we found a place to eat (crazy mask place!) and then continued onto Wigry - found the way to the cloisters (yes, I realised I had been here before ...
