    ... our connection to Koln.

Around 8:26 we climbed off our train and beat it to Platform 3 as noted on our ticket. The train was scheduled to leave at 8:36 - schedule a bit tight but no biggie. BUT, as it turned out, the train for that platform was not headed to Koln. A quick question to a DB agent told that our platform was 8 and not 3. ... and just enjoyed the scenic mountains reflecting off the Rhine and all the classic building and farms scattered along the river.

A good four hours later the tour was over and there was still plenty of time to enjoy another activities within Cologne. When you’re in Cologne there is one place that is without a doubt unmistakable, a massive gothic monument that towers over all of Cologne, the Cologne Cathedral. As I headed for the cathedral with ...

... were worth it. The fortress itself wasn't particularly exciting, annoyingly I forgot to get an audio guide or enquire about tours so I was a little lost. But the epic view from the fortress was totally worth the money. I now get why my parents are obsessed with this place.

I took the cable car back from the fortress and headed to perhaps the biggest and most grandest monument I have ever seen at Deutsches Eck. The monument was made in honour of the ...
