    ... town of Airolo were tough enough, with steep climbs through long tunnels before the inevitable road-work traffic lights just had to happen on the steepest section of the road. I was never going to make it through on time, but I think seeing my valiant effort meant the cars waiting didn’t mind....or perhaps not.     ... and has little except magnificent scenery- no shops to look at in this village!

    As we head to Italy and to Bellagio - where I'm sure it will be very different- it is good to take the time . ...to be still, to be inward focused and to be replenished...before we move on to a new place with its stimulation.     Hard to believe it is summer here when we are surrounded by snow capped mountains and rugged up to keep warm! I had to ask the owner of the apartment to turn on the heating since it was so cold last night...

    ... train stop. I would call them trams, and the stations were completely what I would imagine to be in Switzerland. I wish I had taken a picture, but I felt like I was riding on the Polar Express. Pretty cool.
