    ... town of Airolo were tough enough, with steep climbs through long tunnels before the inevitable road-work traffic lights just had to happen on the steepest section of the road. I was never going to make it through on time, but I think seeing my valiant effort meant the cars waiting didn’t mind....or perhaps not. Airolo wasn’t really the place to stop for lunch, more a maze to navigate as quickly ...

    ... and has little except magnificent scenery- no shops to look at in this village!

    As we head to Italy and to Bellagio - where I'm sure it will be very different- it is good to take the time . ...to be still, to be inward focused and to be replenished...before we move on to a new place with its stimulation. A reminder of how much I really need and desire both - the peace and inward focus, as well as the excitement and outward focus- it's all about getting the balance ...

    Hard to believe it is summer here when we are surrounded by snow capped mountains and rugged up to keep warm! I had to ask the owner of the apartment to turn on the heating since it was so cold last night...

    ... the 3 peaks (Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau ), an amazing ridge and smaller towns all around. On the way back down we stopped to let two very full trains go by – they definitely did not have a whole row to themselves! Anoop continued snapping pics like mad while I enjoyed the views all around. Once we got to the bottom we hopped back on the train to Interlaken and then transferred to a train which let us off at Wildserswil.

    ... formalities and got into the jump suit. I was expecting a lot of instructions but only thing they told us was to enjoy the trip downstairs. Then the helicopter came and we got in.
