I'll know where I'm going instinctively.
Like a thief who must know every corner, every air duct, every hallway, every locked door, every personnel station, every inch of possible ground to be learned via online airport mapping systems.
This is how I will wake up and move myself onward.
From a drunk and Valium based slumber I will awake in Germany, a country which I have never visited nor ...
... one must first ask before ordering. This is an important lesson to learn while traveling in Europe. Another important lesson to learn is that not everyone speaks English, and even if they do, many do not appreciate being spoken to in English without first asking politely if they do indeed know the language. “Kre-DEET-car-ten okay?”, I asked. Even that got a confused look and a visit from the manager. I do know that phrase usually works, by the way. We ...
Worms, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany byron_and_tracy... Well here's the story:
After having met a bunch of design students "by chance" (still don't believe in chance though ;) at a party,

I reckon this trip will help me to make some awesome pictures.
It was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany sofenjon... the hookers seemed to still be waiting for the American GI’s. It was raining and dreary, but soon to change when Erik’s cousin, Nadine, and boyfriend, Flo, picked us up to take us to their home town outside the big city near the Tanus Mountains. We had a wonderful visit, them taking us to a traditional German restaurant where we tasted fresh apple wine. We topped it off with a visit to their apartment. What a great way to end the trip!
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany the_stamms... her husband gets 2 (one for his uniforms), and one for the baby. It's primative! Please say a prayer for me. I am now at Ramstein. I even have a visitor id for the air base and my rank is identified as: MRS. haha! I'm married in Germany. Also, I've already eaten schnitzel....and it was GOOD! Like a pork chop in some cream sauce. More after Austria! Tracey
Frankfurt, Germany tvmed... luggage was stored at the train station for the day. Annabel wore her toilet costume and we found a store that sold cool wigs and hats. I bought a cow hat that moos and Annabel got a German flag coloured Mullet wig. We wore them for the rest of the day and had a great time. We ate Bratwurst for lunch, met up with some other friends for a cup of coffee, and walked around checking out the street theatre and costumes.
I caught the train at 8.30 and ...
... mit hausgemachten Spätzle, a breaded steak smothered in a mushroom sauce with Spätzle - a local mongrel of a carbohydrate, somewhere between potato and pasta. Very odd. We also opted for the Leiterchen gegrillt mit Kraut und Brot, a half pig-like slab of the tenderest meat, bone and all, served with sauerkraut and bread. It was a feast of magnificent proportions. It was phenomenal. The ...
Frankfurt, Germany scottwozI'm gonna fill in the part about my flight from NY to Frankfurt to Edinburgh, just so I can have another map pin. So, the flight to Frankfurt was interesting. I sat next to this guy who smelled really ripe, and I'm pretty sure that the stuff encrustulated on my seat belt was vomit. They kept telling us that they were about to serve dinner, and then they served dinner about 3 hours later. Despite the fact that I had requested a vegan meal 3 weeks earlier, the ...
Frankfurt, Germany rachell37... you’d never do in the US, where freeways scream right over and around the centers of towns, frequently chopping up neighborhoods in the process. In Europe they stop at the edges, strictly a point-to-point sprint. You still have to wind your way through the cities, usually.
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany hardiek
