This day had 2 sides: Richards - the main event, star of the show, incredibly strong and determined, able to push beyond his own limits, and Susan - support crew and photographer. Susan: After a little bit of duty free shopping (Swatch watch and speakers) in Livigno, Susan's day travelled pretty much the same path as Richard however in a car. Annabel is amazing driving up and down the mountain roads that are curly and narrow. It is amazing that sometimes ...

We sat in silent awe of the huge stained glass windows designed by Peter Chagall, then wandered through narrow winding streets and alleys. We came upon an open fresh market, teaming with fruit, vegetables and buckets ...

Afting drying ouselves and changing clothes, we drove back to Der Berghof and decided to seat all together at the terrasse for a drink. It is one of these moments your body relax itself and make you feel completely serene, almost unfazed. You just enjoy the view over Lech, its mountains and the warmth of the sun on your face. We are definitely on holidays...

Maybe you noticed last night's blog didn't happen, but your correspondent offers no apology except to say it was nice to have an early sleep.
Don't know about you, but I really enjoy the rain. That's what's happening here in the Alps. Rain. It's a good thing for two reasons - gives me a chance to catch up with my cuz Roger (also his partner Joe) and we can sit around and do not much.
My hosts ...
