... all had no room at the inn and the journey became more tense the longer it went on. Having thought we'd be camped up by 2pm, it was about 5pm before a kindly Frau squeezed us in (literally) to a space that didn't/doesn't really exist and robbed us of 18 euros. And that represented a bargain as the prices had lowered the further we went along Bodensee. Which is crazy. Because the further you get, eastwards, the more beautiful it becomes. The lake is ...

... for Constance. Now this place had some style and interest. We were turned away from the campsite as it was full but they told us we could park for 12 hours around where the swimming pool carpark was. Perfect. We have everything we need so a free camp was great. After so much moving and travelling we were a bit tired but we decided to still jump on our bikes to explore Constance and to do so means you ride from Switzerland into Germany and back in an afternoon. During the war ...

She will be sorely missed. ...

... the different countries. Unfortunately we are unable to read German, so we couldn't figure out the logistics of how to get to the other countries and back. When we first arrived at Bodensee, we walked around for a bit and grabbed lunch at a little restaurant that was right on the lake. It was definitely a beautiful place to have lunch! After lunch we rented a little electric boat and went out onto the lake. It got a bit rocky at times because of the larger boats passing by us, ...

To cut a long story short we finished our meal, got to
Constance, stepped off the boat and walked away. Bargain trip…….if they can’t
    get organized it’s their loss.

A uneventful ride back to camp was followed by a BRAAI IN
THE RAIN……meat is good at any time especially when washed down with copious
    amounts of beer and wine.
