... Nazi's on that spot. We had a Thai massage this afternoon, very very relaxing and we are heading out to dinner shortly. Our hotel, Hotel Jensen, is once again, right in the thick of things and is really spacious and nice. Dad has done really well with all of the bookings, research obviously pays off , his German is also getting us through, he is getting better all the time. ...

The next morning, we drove from Hamburg to Lübeck, where my great-aunt lives. We went for a walk through the city but it was very cold, so we had to go to a cafe soon.
Later we met my aunt at the Niederegger shop, which is a very famous German Marzipan manufacturer. We stepped in for a coffee and extremely delicious cakes and bought some of the famoues Lübeck Marzipan specialities as a souvenir.
Then we continued our journey to Schwerin.

But during the Nazi's regime the city was striped of its 700 year long independence and all its territory merged with the German state Schleswig Holstein.
