... museum(free entry with castle ticket) which had some decent samurai armour, swords and guns. I then had a wander around Matsumoto which like Nagano moves at a much slower pace than Tokyo and for that reason has a much more relaxed feel.

I then headed back to my hostel in Nagano and had a rest ahead of visiting mt fuji tomorrow and the 4 hour train journey.

Plans changed slightly because of imminent arrival of typhoon. Wake up 6.30. Breakfast-buffet. Coffee,juice,eggs,croissants,fruit and strange sausages. Left bags before 8.30 so they could be forwarded on to Tokyo (hopefully will see it next on Monday night). Ok when left Dormy Inn, started with light rain then got steadily heavier.
