Had breakfast at Hotel then went up to see Linda and say goodbye to Wolfgang. Jan then drove us into Saarbrucken for the day as he had to spend time with Linda making arrangements for the funeral. Walked around the lovely St Johann Market Place with pretty shops and restaurants and down along the river bank. Jan picked us up and back to our hotel. ... instrumentation and it was a very fun piece for everyone to perform. Each performing ensemble was given 30 minutes in the Stadthalle in the afternoon for their final dress rehearsal to test the acoustics of the hall. l'Oiseau des Bois was a big hit on the program and the entice concert was terrific. Besides featuring many of the singers, the instrumental groups included Morgan's wind quintet, playing a fine reading of "Humoresque" by A. Von Zemlinsky. ... amphitheater, baths, various walls and the very famous "Black Door", one of four entrance to the walled city in ancient times, now the only one remaining. We took a walking tour to the old cobblestones city, which has some beautiful structures, fountains and monuments. It was a very nice full day tour, which all of us enjoyed.
