... families dropping their loved ones at the bus stops, presumably for the to return to work after the festival. After a short while we were back at sea level, we pulled of the road at a sign advertising a camping site, we drove on to the beach, there were a couple if families having a picnic, but no sign of anyone yo pay, we parked up on the beach and settled to watch the sunset, unfortunately the clouds prevented it from being a wonderful ...

A man probably in his 40's stopped to talk to us, he works for Turkish Airlines and spoke good English, we chatted about the UK, which he knew all the airports! Ian hops out of the car and escorts her up the hill and into her house - we figured that it must have been her flashy leopard skin pants that attracted him! Our problems are not ended we cannot find a way off the narrow track...we pass laughing children and astonished villagers as I finally put Tom Tom on to try and help. Turn left, turn right...good we seem ...

... Foreshore! Eventually we arrived at the fishing village of Assos. The hotel is quite flash when compared to the beach houses around but it's a big step down from the Hilton. And it was back to the buffet for dinner .... Grrrrr. So disappointing after the local cuisines at the restaurants at Patmos. The weather has closed in and it's very fresh and it's been raining a bit. Went for a walk along the beach which is like many European beaches ... Rocky and stony. Assos ...
