    Today we travelled from Ljubjlana to Trieste via Go-Opti bus. After the beautiful scenery and steetscapes of Ljubjlana Trieste was a bit of a disappointment, but it's just a stop-over to Venice. We arrived about 1.30 pm, then had lunch and a bit of a walk. Everything closes down between 1 and 4, so the town centre was a bit slow ...

    ... room that evening but after checking out their menu decided against it so we went back to the Da Vittoria. Pete had fillet steak with peppercorn sauce and I had steak tartare, both fabulous and a glass of Cab. Sav. very nice indeed!
    As we left we happened upon an icecream shop and had gelato in a cone which topped off the evening perfectly. It was then home to hit the sack...zzzzzz

    Three days now in Croatia having travelled from Lake Bled on a very good motorway system to Rovinj in Croatia. We visited the caves at Postojna which were amazing .. A train trip of 2 kilometres at beginning and end with a walking tour in between which was a bit taxing but I kept up with the crowd.
