Norbert and I went our separate ways - the same way, really - in the afternoon. He was returning to his sleeping out arrangement and I needed to find myself a bed for the night. I really enjoyed the companionship of the previous few days, but it also felt natural to strike out again on my own. We've swapped contact details, so I expect we'll swap news of our VF outcomes in the fullness of time.

... there was a Decathlon 2-3 miles down the road (Dual Carriageway) so for the first time in the history of our trip we went out in the van during a stay to find it. We found it and despite the language barrier were refunded the over charged amount within a few minutes, simple.. (I am sure you are all glad to hear this)

... that Stefano had won a seat on the council at the elections held on Saturday past. Giorgi is worried about Manuela who has depression, and the kids because there is very little work around. Ricardo has a shoe stall he takes to the markets with Stefano, and he likes it. He has certainly got the character to sell things, but is disillusioned with the state of things in Italy. Everyone has their problems!
We didn't get home till midnight, so slept well that ...

... where nonna stayed as a child. Lovely old building but in need of repair. Following the aroma of freshly baked bread we stopped at the baker's where there was lots of 'pan', in the same shape that nanny and nonna used to make. The grissini they make there are so yummy, nothing like what we get at home!
Ester had to stop at the post office to get ready for her trip tomorrow and then we went to have lunch at the restaurant 'Rocca ...

... to have a cup of tea. They have made lots of alterations and it is quite lovely. Bright yellow, Franco's favourite colour! He says it is because he is colourblind, and yellow is a colour he can distinguish.
About four Ester had to go to mass as it was the Ascension and she was doing a reading, so we went too. It was in the crypt, and nice to participate in.
Then we went for a drive to Moncalvo and we walked around ...
