Hotel Vittoria Ischia

Nous avons pris l'autobus publique pour atteindre le sommet du vesus, le volcan n'a pas tellement a offrir, mais la vue sur la bay est vraiment belle. Ensuite, nous avons visités les ruines d'Herculaneom. Une autre ville disparue sous l'eruption du vesus il y a pres de 2000 ans. il y a encore beaucoup de travail d'archeologie en cours, mais on peut voir que la ville est meiux conserver, il y a meme des batiments de 2 et 3 etages et des pieces de bois qui ont traversé le temps !

... aire déserter par les habitants de naples, et puis ensuite on c'est refugier dans le chateau ouvo pemdamt l'orage. nous avons eu un excellent point vue sur le volcan Vesuve. Puis ensuite nous avons visiter le vieux quartier ou les rues tres etroites ne laisse pas entrée les raysons du soleil ! Il y a meme une rue ou l'on ne retrouve que des commerces d'articles de noel. tout pour se refaire une creche ou redecorer l'arbre a chaque année!

on quitte orvieto pour se rendre a
naples. Le train a 30 min de retard et une fois monter a bord, le
retard s'accumule. On a passer la journee dans le train et on est
arrive a naples avec plus d'une heures de retard. Ce n'est pas
tellement grave, il a plue presque tout la journee. Enfin a notre

Found a really cool red leather satchel to replace my old grey nylon one that has given me 9or10 years of service.
Florentine leather - so nice...
Also went to get 1 more tripe roll before leaving town and discovered they had beef too so tried one of them instead. Just as amazing as the tripe one!!!

Stayed in a small town south of Naples (Vico Enquense) which was right on the water (in a rather remote cove). We rented an apartment for the week which was part of a hotel complex. ... taking one of those CitySightseeing Buses. The same kind we took in Barcelona where passengers were able to hop on and hop off at any stop.

We were warned about the traffic in Naples and that caution was needed when crossing any street. Although we thought the traffic hectic, cars had no choice but to yield when groups of people were crossing the street. So, we waited for the locals ...

... the whole thing! The view from there was the most amazing view I have ever seen from somewhere - you just stand there with your mouth open because you can not believe how beautiful this is. Little boats in the water around the odd shaped coast line in the turquoise water surrounded by the Mediterranean vegetation of the Ischia! That is so Italy!! Amazing! ... a guy who wanted to "chat" and know where our hotel was. We are getting far better about feeling that we ought always be polite. I mean, we aren't stupid enough to tell the guy, if anything tell him something fake and then pass our place by just in case we have a tail. But even so, we are better at saying a more stern go-to-hell comment after just one attempt at a polite no. Tomorrow we Pompei. And laundry. Must do laundry.
