... Alex kept our glasses filled and Vijay looked after us (and Bertie our ursine travelling companion ) very well indeed.

Suzanne and Pablo were great Ents officers and very good on the quizzes, too many clever folk on board though we didn't win a thing!

Bruce Morrison and Petra the Classical pianist were standouts in the entertainment which we attended more than usual.

As the world’s mecca of pizza, Naples’ streets are crammed with pizzerias and, much like the city’s street life, these establishments are chaotic and fast-paced. Mild-mannered Brits as we are, we found ourselves on more than one occasion being barged to one side by a queue-jumping. Stern words (in our garbled Italian-English crossover) were exchanged and our pizzas
arrived.

... getting on the ferry and heading back to reality, really though. Gary and Dave headed to their cruise ship after goodbyes and Antonio brought us to the airport, which our flights were both delayed (we secretly hoped we would miss the Rome one and get stuck) but instead we took off at 10:15 and got home at 1am.
