We made it to Mexico after 30 hours of travel. We had a great feast of mexican last night while listening to a mariachi band play and the flambe waiters make all sorts of desserts, coffees and lobster. It felt great to sit in the humid heat and be on vacation.
My pina coloada was the length of my arm! Watched Buffalo clobber ...
... thus very keen to get good reviews, as a result he was very helpful and made every effort to help me enjoy my stay.
Unfortunately the next day I came down with a chest infection, probably due to the rapid change in climate so I thought it best to rest up and try to get well as the following day I had booked myself on a tour which would take me to Chichen Iza an ancient Mayan Pyramid. Whilst recuperating in the hostel that day David was worrying about an American backpacker ...
... pounds and caught a nasty little (sanitation) parasite. Lovely. Final trip note for that country: "Suck this, Bolivia!!" Well, this great world adventure is soon coming to a close, but it really wouldn't be complete, in my opinion, without a visit to my favorite (#1) country in the whole wide pink world. Yes, you think it might be some far off, exotic land, but it's really in my own backyard. Welcome to Mexico! The Place: Altho it's something I would not ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico dudeonthemove... doesn’t sound so great, so I ask when I can actually reserve a seat. The reply is Dec. 26th. Yikes.
So a bunch of us try to go standby on Delta, but that is terrible and they only accept 2 people off the list. A couple of us are really worried about making it to Nashville so we get together and decide that we might try renting a car. So we take the shuttle to various rental agencies and finally find a place that will let us rent a ...
... t turn out at all as I had planned but we'll get to that. The owner of the hostel, Oscar, had set out bowls and cereal for us as we were leaving before breakfast so we both had some frosted flakes around 5:15 and headed out at 5:30 to catch a taxi to the bus station. It was still pretty dark out by the time we got to the bus station and before long we were boarding another full bus. Again, I fell asleep and woke up intermittenly between Merida ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico btighe... indeed in London and I'm sure we'd be paying four times that amount. We finish up our hotel invasion by swimming in their pool, no one bothers us except to ask if we'd like any cocktails whilst we swim. We like this hotel, we might even pay to stay here one day! Back at the hostel now, recovering from our mild sunburn and rehydrating. Enchiladas outside tonight with the rest of the hostel before we head out to some club on the hotel strip called Coco Bongo....
Cancun, Mexico papertiger... Salvador, was excellent and too us around the ruins and into the jungle. I ate a live termite when in the jungle. I had the best fish I had eaten in a very long time... cooked to perfection. fter dinner e managed to drink over 50 bottles of ...
Tehuantepec to Cancun, Mexico monkey_moore... and fed the horses." Reviews: "I have to admit to being very apprehensive staying "All Inclusive", since we generally don't usually eat an awful lot on holiday and like to take a stroll in the evenings, choose a nice restaurant and then eventually eat. This we were still able to do. We typically had a healthy breakfast around 9 o'clock-ish, a light lunch mid day, afternoon tea in the lobby area late afternoon, then finally a leisurely walk to whichever restaurant we had ...
Cancun, Mexico schlossie... their honeymoon. The hotel/resort in Tulum was astoundingly idealic. Simple huts with palm frond thatch roofs and no electricity. We had running water in the huts, but it was salty. Our 180 degrees of windows looked out at the ocean and beach. The water here is turqoise, just like you see in postcards from the Carribean. The sand is pale. Our resort had a private beach with swinging beds under thatch shades. The restaurant had live entertainment at night with ...
