So after two boys trips and all my long stay buddies gone I thought my jungle driving days were over for a while but I was wrong, very wrong. ... basically live and sleep outside. Which is nice, but at night it gets really windy and quite cold, apart from the fact that there are a lot of mosquitoes.... But on the bright side it's really nice to wake up to the sun and blue sky above your head :-)

The trip from Flores (Guatemala) to Mexico was intense. A very early start, a very late bus, ungraded roads with pot holes the size of small swimming pools, a very cool border crossing involving a 20 minute boat trip down a river in full flood, getting lost on the other side, torturously repetitive Mexican radio, misdirections and stomach churning corners. 18 hours later (bus, boat, taxi, bus, bus and taxi) we were in San Cristobal de las Casas looking for food at 11pm.

We didn't end up getting out of bed until about 1pm due to having a late night. I wasn't really hungover, Bobbie was a little bit.
