... were claiming to already be there. No one was in sight and after five more minutes of confusion, we finally realized they had driven to Donna, Texas and were currently at the front entrance to Circo Hermanos Vazquez! Oops. They eventually made their way to us, but unfortunately missed most of the first half of our show.

The rain has finally started here. We're all parked on dirt. Dirt that gets REALLY sticky and thick when you add water to it. Sigh.

... br> On a sad note, one of our favorite bars, The Ranch House
burnt to the ground on Wednesday night, 1 hour after they closed for the night.
This is a great loss to those of us who like Bluegrass Music and huge greasy
burgers.

We also went to the east end of the valley, visiting
Brownsville and the King Tut exhibit in their museum. It was a good exhibit,
and Brownsville downtown by the border crossing has changed a lot from what it
was ...

... and the band know about the changes before the first show. What an adrenaline rush.

The new-ish gag seemed to go well...a few minor technical problems in the first show which he smoothed out in the second and now we're trying to flesh it out a bit to help him get more laughs. John commented several times how nice it was to not get soaking wet in both shows. :)

... hoping someone would drop food. They’re friendly enough and beautiful and it breaks my heart a bit to not take them in, let alone pet them (although as soon as John M. and his family got to cookhouse, his 2-ish year old daughter made a beeline for one of them and proceeded to pet the dog’s head as we all laughed and groaned).
