Travel Blogs from Seattle
On the way to Seattle, we stopped at another Roadfood recommended restaurant: Frank's in Spokane, WA. A converted railway car that was formerly used for presidents of the Pacific Railroad line, it was converted into a restaurant and served patrons in Seattle for 40+ years before losing its land lease in the mid-90s. It then moved to Spokane, where …
I went to Seattle, WA in March-April of 2008 to visit a college friend and then down to Oregon by Amtrak to visit my sister, who was in Portland, OR for the weekend. Had an awsome time, pike place market, took the ferry in the bay, at a ruben at Market House Meat, had some spectacular Tai food in Ballard community area.
I got my hotel on …
Escaped with hubby for a week in Seattle. Had a great time, shopping, sightseeing... Loved the hotel- wine tastings in the lobby and Tempurpedic mattress! Best food ever... Would love to go back and do a trip to Mt. Rainer. Travelocity screwed up our excursion.
Today we visited the Experience Music Project. This is the music museum that Paul Allen built. The girls loved the music intrument experiment room. Sarah boogied in the dance room under the strobe lights. We visited the aquarium the next day and the Pike Place Market. The aquarium was unique because it concentrated on Pacific Northwest sea …
What we decided was that instead of heading home from Cape Coral, we would go somewhere else in the country and avoid the storms. After all, who wants to go home and go back to work? Early Thursday we drove up to Tampa and jumped on a Ted flight to Denver. This was my first flight on Ted which was recently launched from United Airlines. From Denver …

Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Vintage Park - A Kimpton Hotel Seattle
A lovely hotel
We had a lovely, romantic stay here for our anniversary last year. The room was very tastefully furnished. Loved the ambiance of the hotel--it's small enough that it feels warm and intimate, but large enough to offer services and amenities that guests would require. Also, very conveniently located. Would definitely stay here again.
My Favorite Hotel
The Vintage Park is blessed with a combination of factors that make for a wonderful hotel: size, location, ambiance and staff. The hotel is small enough to allow for personalized attention, and large enough to convey a big city feeling. The location couldn't be better for entering and leaving the city, with freeway entrances virtually around the corner, yet within walking distance of theaters, the Seattle Art Museum, chichi shops and many fine restaurants. The decor, from the cozy lobby to the guest rooms, is elegant, and dining at Tulio, the hotel's restaurant, is highly recommended. The staff is competent, friendly and efficient, and returning guests are made to feel like they "belong" at the Vintage Park.
Great place to stay!!
We recently stayed at the Hotel Vintage Park and thought it was great.
The staff was so courteous and accommodating. The room was wonderful, a corner room with windows on two sides, one facing the water. We enjoyed the wine tastings in the evenings. By dealing with the hotel directly, we got an excellent promotional rate. If we are in Seattle again, we would definitely choose this hotel.
Gave our paid room away
Hotel gave our room away????? My daughter and I arrived from NYC at 3.30 AM our time, and after reconfirming our late arrival via email, phone and printing a confirmation from their reservations system---we arrived exhausted and was shuffled to a single room at one of their other hotels..This room was PREPAID two months in advance.
Their only exuse----one of their present guests decided to stay longer... Don't make a reservation as you may not have a room when you arrive...
My fiance surprised me with a stay in this room----- and we were TRULY impressed! The top, corner suite was absolutely beautiful! The decor and appointments were very original and had such wonderful decorative flair! The wine-tastings in the cozy lobby at 6pm are a great way to meet other travelers and strike up unique conversations! So are the port tastings at 11pm (both are free). The guest services and staff are more friendly and accommodating than you can imagine. I felt like I was a personally-invited guest of the hotel--not just a number. The hotel is gorgeous, and an absolutely lovely botique-style place to stay right in the heart of downtown Seattle. You are steps from the farmer's market, the waterfront, and excellent restaurants. The concierge at this hotel is most knowledgeable. I truly loved my stay here and would recommend it highly to anyone---especially if you are a wine-lover.
My wife and I spent four nights at the Vintage Park. The room was good-sized with nice furnishings. The service was excellent. By the second day, the staff was greeting us by name. Valet parking was expensive but efficient and couteous. Restaurant also expensive but nice. Front desk, housekeeping and other staff friendly and well-trained. We highly recommend the Vintage Park.
Vintage was comfortable.
Good location, colorful room, great art. Great staff. Fast elevator.
Room was small and wine tasting was minimal.
We spent first two nights of our trip to Washington State here. We were very pleased. Wine tastings were very good, and gret coffe each morning. And the staff were very helpful when our keys got locked in the car. That made a great impression right away. We definitely enjoed our stay.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful. I am a 20 year old student, who came to Seattle with another friend for a wedding. We look like little 12 year old girls...so we were a bit worried that we would be discriminated against because this was such a ritzy hotel. This certainly was NOT the case!! the clerks at the front desk were so kind and extremely helpful. The entire staff was awesome, and they treated us like we were queens. The room was very clean and very nice. I really liked the whole "chocolate on pillows" turn down service, as well as the aveda toiletries. If we were 21 we would also love the complementary wine tastings. The restaurant in the hotel, Tulio's, is also another wonderful thing. The food is awesome and well worth the prices. I highly recommend the chicken and lemon risotto. The hotel is within walking distance of many different shopping centers and different tourist attractions. My overall experience was wonderful and I would definitely come back to this hotel.
