      ... surprising to see so many souvenir stores open at 11pm, so we ventured into most of them. The common things sold were venetian masks, beaded jewellery, and jewellery and ornaments made of murano glass. We noticed one little food outlet that was still open, and it had a sign at the front saying 'coffee croissant 1.80 euro'. We decided that would be tomorrow's breakfast :) Almost midnight now, definitely time for bed.  Buonanotte from Venice.       ...

      On our way. Medford to San Francisco. The plane is delayed by 90 minutes out of Medford. Time to get used to sitting in airports. At least SFO is better people watching. As we wait for our departing flight, I tune in to the different languages. The harsh gutteral German, the sing song Swiss German.       ... are a lot of people out walking and enjoying the sunshine, which is glorious. I take a seat in the park to rest, take in the sunshine and enjoy a really good apple.

      Zurich is rather quiet and clean city, however does not have the same vibe like Milan. Its not a city i would hurry back to.

      Tomorrow i am off to Interlaken by train. Its a 3 hour journey and meant to have some spectacular scenery of the Alps.

      ... the fireworks were being detonated. But we did had a prime position,and every 15 min another display of colour lit up the sky, It was well worth the walk!

      A beautiful balmy evening, the buildings aglow with lights, and plenty of party goers lining the streets with music and song! After the midnight sky show Haydn & I again legged it home having had a great Swiss National Day!

      PS. I must have Iegged it 50km today!!!!

      ... podczas drugiej wojny swiatowej budynki warszawy. Interesujace bylo to ze wlasnie to go zainteresowalo, nigdy wczesniej nie mial takich skojarzen a architektownicznie budynki zurichu byly dalekie od tych ktore widzial na starych zdjeciach albo w filmie "Warszawa 1935" ktory mial okazje ostatnio ogldac bedac w Warszawie. Trwalo to wszystko sekunde i po szybkim 'zeskanowaniu' nazwisk na domofonie, wcisnal przycisk 'P.M. Jung". Takie wlasnie nazwisko przybrali rodzice ...
