      After a long flight directly across the Atlantic and Brazil at around 5:30am this morning we made our descend into Lima, Peru.       ... expensive hotel in town. When the owner opened the door, however, it revealed a massive construction site of a FUTURE upscale hotel. But! He had 2 completed rooms- one he lived in, and one "floor model." If we were willing to stay in that, and deal with some construction noise, he offered the room to us for less than we've paid in hostels. Deal!

      ... and wind it! the front wheel moves around in the sand and the ass is all over the show, makes for great riding! tomorrow we'll have the panniers off and head into the dunes. Not quite a 300 two stroke, but i think the 800's will do ok! will post the results tomorrow.............The first stage was simply a 12km loop. More for the spectators and to get the starting order for the competitors. Tomorrow the racing really starts.
