... sorry--I didn't hear you say con gas, please could I have "natural"?

The waiter says no problem! I run right to the store very quick and he was off like a flash. It couldn't have been two minutes later he was bringing me my bottle of cold water.

The Mexican tacos plate was 4 homemade tortillas piled high with pork or beef, then you finish them off with beans, lettuce, two kinds of pico de gallo, hot red sauce or mild tomatillo and soon your ...

... of relaxing. The kids were not in the kid pool and splashing everywhere. The bar always had a 10 minute wait to get a drink. There was supposed to be a buffet for every meal and your choice of three restaurants for dinner. The day we arrived, they said we couldn’t eat dinner because we didn’t have a reservation. The next day there was only one restaurant open, so we had the ...

... will head to the beaches. So, we are preparing for a very active time here.

I should know better. Never assume anything unless you have some facts to back it up. I assumed that Melaque was going to be a hyped up tourist trap town, with tourists crowding up the streets and fighting for every square inch of sand on the beach. I also thought that I would be in a city ruined by modern corporate greed with high-rise condos and hotels. But, what I found was ...

... you. It was nice. We had a fantastic time here and wish we would have had more time to see and learn more about this strange site.

I have little memory of what we did the remainder of today as I am writing this a couple of days later and all I remember for sure is being very, very happy to get back to the boat. I immediately took a shower. I’m sure we ate dinner at some point and when we returned to our room and slept in the nice, cool a/c.

    Delightful Thanksgiving getaway

This was where the various branches of my family scattered across the US came for a Thanksgiving "reunion."

    Would go back!

Hotel Villa Los Angeles is situated on a hill with a lovely setting. It has a fabulous view and the property is well maintained. The villas are clean & well appointed with flowers and a fresh fruit bowl upon arrival. It has 26 units and was quiet at night which was lovely when you sat on the deck watching the sun sink into the ocean. The pool is a good size and is cleaned daily. The hotel is located near the beach, restaurants and shopping. We walked to the grocery store and taxied back. Patricia and Michel are usually near by and are outstanding in helping direct you to a restaurant or tour guide. They make you feel welcome as though you are a friend visiting their home. Also, the staff is helpful and never acted put out when you asked for something! We loved the area and found the people to be warm and friendly.

    What a wonderful hotel!

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Villas los Angeles. It is a small, high quality boutique hotel with friendly and helpful owners, who have a team of responsive and obliging staff. We stayed in the new villas which are extremely spacious, clean and well equipped. They all have amazing views, air conditioning and high speed internet. All in all, with the swimming pool and the nearby beach, this was exactly what we were looking for in terms of a long working, but relaxing vacation.

    Relaxing Hospitality

Truly a great location to relax and enjoy all the finest qualities of Manzinillo with the attentive hospitality of the owner, his wife and staff. In contrast with the isolated resorts, Villas Los Angeles offers wonderful opportunities to truly experience the best of this part of the world -- local cuisine at restaurants and from vendors, swimming, snorkling and diving from the nearby beach (and relaxing in the pool), and room to spread out and enjoy the view. The owner, Michel, gave good recommendations on shopping and getting about, which is easy by taxi -- he even helped get excellent cerviche from just the right place! Quite a contrast to a nearby resort where conferences are held. Perfect place to get out on your own, relax, and proceed at your pace.

Villas Los Angeles - I highly recommend it!

I have visited Manzanillo many times over the years trying out different hotels until I found Villa Los Angeles. I've been back a few times now. During my last visit in August '06, I arrived from San Francisco, CA by way of Cd Guzman, Jal where I collected 10 family members to join me. When making the reservations, Michel and Soccoro were exceptionally helpful and patient answering my slew of questions and making their recommendation to ensure a memorable visit. Upon arrival and throughout our stay, everyone was sincerely helpful and pleasant.

    Beautiful Hotel - Wonderful People

My wife, two small children (boy/girl twins, age 71/2) spent ten days in mid August at Villas Los Angeles on the Santiago Peninsula in Manzanillo. The hotel was everything we could ask for and the owners Patricia and Michel were very gracious and went out of their way to accommodate us. Their recommendations regarding beaches, attractions and restaurants were very helpful and informative. The hotel itself is located on one of the highest elevations in the Santiago Peninsula and the views from the rooms are extraordinary. We had a suite (#106) with the kitchen, dining room and big balconies on the upper floor and the two large bedrooms (with Jacuzzi tub) and bathrooms on the lower level. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the rooms are very clean. The high speed internet connection in the room (which was important to me for keeping in touch with the office in California) worked like a charm - plug the computer in and you're on the internet. Bottled water was provided and bedding was changed daily. The kids really enjoyed the pool, with its waterfall, island and unique design and we could watch them from the comfort of the balcony.

Breathtaking views! Don't miss out on Hotel Villas Los Angeles!

We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Villas Los Angeles to anyone! The photos on the site lured us, but they hardly do justice to how nice this place is! Our 1-bedroom villa was spacious and well-appointed, and a good value. The pool and surrounding patio area might make you forget to go to the beach. Stunning views of the bays and the city from our terrace and the pool area. The rooms and grounds were very well-maintained, staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Owners and some staff also speak English. We hope to return again.

Excellent Get Away at Villas Los Angeles, Manzanillo, Mexico

Just returned from a month's stay at Villas Los Angeles in Manzanillo, Mexico and it was an exceptional stay. The Villas are located on the Santiago Peninsula, on one of the highest spots, overlooking the ocean.
