After talking with a lot of the visiting sailers, and power boaters... There was a mass exodus out of Crotone harbor this morning around 6:00a.m. and Milena was the leader of the pack. It was a tad rolly getting out of the harbor, but after that our path was 'clear sailing', and sailing we did... Jacques had a very small tranquette, we are now using, to replace the larger jib. All day long we sailed in the beautiful blue waters, and bathed ...

... so it is quite close, Sicily looks more developed and prosperous but the south of Italy doesn't have a lot of big towns/ centres. ... to Mammola we took a wrong turn and went to a winding steep road that got Don abit jittery with vertigo. We retraced our steps and found our way back.Back to our room for a siesta and we needed it. I was feeling very bloated and not too well from our overeating in the last few days. I emphasised to Don not to be convinced we needed more course at dinner tonight! The restaurant A ' Piazzetta was lovely. I had a pasta with mushrooms from the local mountainside and ...

    Isola di Capo Rizzuto- Mammola

A travel blog entry by sueesposito on Jun 17, 2014

... next day we drove to Isola with clear directions on how to get there. Don found a barber which took 45mins for a cut and at least 5 fellas came in for a chat to the barber while he was there. We got mistaken for German tourists by a well dressed gentleman who directed us to an illy coffee place. It was lovely. I went to the Farmicia by myself to get some allergy tablets and after signing, role playing etc We understood each other. We were the only foreigners in town. When we ...
