... and the structure of towns from that age. It was small but we had good coffee. The only Problem was that we could not find the bus station to go back home. In the end we just stayed at the one and we were lucky, after 10 minutes there was a bus going to Padova. Yeah traffic in italy works a little differently. We found our way back home, and our bikes were waiting for us at the train-station (miracle).

On friday we saw the castle buon consiglio, it was old but quite interessting. at night we went on to Bolzano/Bozen in South Tyrol. We stayed a friend of a friends house, we've never met before. but it was vey nice. giavanni lives with heidi, who is from south tyrol. I would recommend staying in either Riva del Garda or Torbole as a good base from which to explore. If you are a keen cyclist or walker, then there is more than just the watersports to enjoy and if you just want to sit back and put your feet up... that would work too - just pick a warmer time of year as it would be a bit chilly sitting around in much less than a t.shirt at this time of year.

The overhanging mountain which shrouds the area creates a beautiful backdrop and although we weren't prepared enough to take on the full climb to Cima SAT with it's vertical metal ladders, we managed a 3 hour (ish) hike up to Santa Barbara chapel today, first stopping at the famous Bastion which was built in the 16th century and destroyed (in part) by the French army in the 18th century.
