So this was a great idea in summer

A travel blog entry by stef.pybus on Oct 07, 2015

... this, 2 days before we leave, its absolutely pouring with rain. We will be cycling to london, where rain is pretty much a given. All this in a tent. Like I said, this was a great idea in the summer. But it will be done. Bikes have been packed, return flights have been booked, and I refuse to be outdone by mom and dad in record km on ...

All the transport was free, on presentation of the pass. Off to the pub for the Scotland vs Sth Africa game, dinner then the first half of Aust vs England, leaving at half time to watch the rest in our room at the hotel. Great result with Australia winning 31 - 13. Early start tomorrow: Munich via the Library at St ...

        When
I have tried to ride it before I have always started from the opposite end at
Bormio and so this road is all new to me from this end.

        First
thing I notice it is a single track road and is extremely rough and bumpy. To
make things worse it hugs the edge of a mountain for ...

On 9/27 we walked from Sent to Scuol in a little over an hour, then took a gondola to have lunch in a mountain restaurant. We then took a very easy walk to a chair lift which took us down to Ftan to catch a bus back Scuol. Tomorrow we're off to ...

CHEESE MAKING IN THE SWISS ALPS

By our second day we had the bus/train system mastered...we knew where NOT to get off the train. First stop was at Morteratsch at a local cheese factory where they make cheese the traditional way with milk from cows that graze high in the mountains. We watched a cheese maker whipping up a copper cauldron of cheese. We were his most rapt audience. Although all the people we met in Switzerland spoke English, he didn't. So, ...
