When I got to the last 3, I stopped to breathe, and realized I was full. When the owner came by to change out my "discard/shell" plate, I motioned that I was done, and that he could also take the plate with the last 3 that were uneaten. He said (in Spanish), "but there's only 3 more left" (I actually understood this :) - I motioned no, that while delicious, I was just ...

... my water bottle. I went to the nearest cafe and ordered a beer. The sweet man working explained the specials for the day of which included fresh mini sardines. I ordered them thinking they came with a salad. To my surprise, a heaping plate of lightly fried whole fish arrived. I asked him how to eat them. He replied, "Con permiso" (with permission) and took my utensils instructing me to cut off the head and eat the rest of the fish with my fingers. The first one went down ok. ...

... 10pm! I saw Don from California as I was walking down; he saw me walk past the albergue where he is staying and he came out especially to say hello. The three of us girls walked on the sand, Kate and I took off our thongs, Sharon left her shoes on. It was sooo wonderful to feel soft white sand between my toes and under my feet. Pablo had a tough sleep, came down touch of a stomach bug that him and several of us in the house up for the better part of the night. We elect to let the team sleep in and have a late breakfast.
