When in Rome......
... found it. It was filled with locals which was a good sign so we sat down and ordered some wine a salad and some fish. The waiters were all joking with one another and our wine was poured from a tap and served in water glasses, the fish was amazing and the salad yummy simple and cheap! On an Evening in Roma

... was Caffe Giolitti - renowned for serving the best gelato in Rome. The place is always packed and trying to get served is a mission as you compete with throngs of people all elbowing their way to a cone of perfection. We were agog. The white chocolate is surely the most creamy concoction of pure heaven ever created, while the caramel-fig had chunks of fresh fig in every mouthful.
