On somewhat of a whim we have decided to venture into Milan for the day. None of us have ever been here before, so its a new experience for all.

The day started beautifully with a large number of people Para-sailing and sailing about on Lake Como this morning. Very nice thing to wake up to. After breakfast we left this lovely place and, with our GPS friend made our way into Milano.

... and maybe a couple of other smaller vessels. Maybe it gets busier in summer proper? In any case, it felt kind of surreal to be on the water, in Italy, watching the world go by. Loved it.

The walking continued to the other side of town (I didn’t really plan my itinerary very well) to have a wander through the canals. On my way there I stumbled across a large park with children playing, a group of people ...

Initial Nightmare on Elm Street (or Via Foppaola)!

... nice (Damn!) and went to the first unit which, we immediately knew had problems with smell and age. It hadn't been opened for some time and the traps were obviously empty giving that characteristic smell you may know and hate. We had a problem Houston and something would have to be done, later.
Our plan for today was to cross to the other side of the lake, assess conditions there and try for a spot of lunch before travelling to Milan ...
