        ... he was heading - and agreed. The olive oil on the other hand was superb.
        Roberta, our guide, sang Torna a Sorrento (Come back to Sorrento) and some other well known Italian songs - we are sure the wine must have lubricated some vocal chords and, suddenly, we were back in Sorrento. What a beautiful way to end a special day.
        Ciao, ciao (we have noticed that the "double Ciao" seems to be common). Off for the day to tour the Amalfi coast tomorrow.

        ... We are hoping the weather holds old - Forecast for rain on Saturday and Sunday. Dinner was delicious tonight. We ate at a restaurant called Leone Rosso cafe. Fantastic value. They gave us free fresh bread, free bianco (white) pizza and a free shot of limoncello each. Very generous. We both had soup and fish. The soup was delicious.         ... we got our own rooms. I loved mine especially because it had a porch with a dinner table and the most magnificent view. My brother got my friends room, (they put the twin beds together which made a great king-sized bed. This was defiantly the Villa Of Paradise!

        ... opinion though, the two sites are too different to truly compare them. Cinque Terre is a more secluded section of coast and has the charm of the 5 cities closely linked by train or ferry. The Amalfi region is grander in every since of the word. The coast was more terrific, the cities were larger, the shopping was better and there were a lot more tourists.         ... drive back to Ercolana. We had lunch in the town and the walked to Herculaneum (about 500 mtr). We got a 5 site pass for 20 e each for Bhups and me which ga e access to Herculaneum, Pompeii and 3 other archeological sites in the area. we are only planning on visiting Herculaneum and Pompeii but still slightly cheaper than paying separately.
