... samples even though I said I would not buy - what's a girl to do - it was downhill all the way!? The main Texote falls was 2 big drops through a narrow gorge with rickety bridge over - always nervous when see the sign "cross at own risk"! - the bridge lead further up river to some smaller falls good for bathing (in summer or for masochists) - there was another leading up the high near vertical cliff to a viewpoint at the top of ...

Fist time couch surfing

... m going to keep surfing and possibly host some day. I was hosted by a girl and her family and they accepted me like family. They only let people stay for a day so she said I could stay at her friends house the next day. Her friends house was nice and it had a pool. They ended up taking me out on the town and we had a good time.

... good for snorkelling, though it is all relative - maybe it was good for the Pacific coast, but that is pretty bad - poor vis, no coral, few fish. However you can still often see new things - seargent majors playing pass with a pencil urchin, picking it up in its mouth & throwing it to a fellow fish - intriguing! Another day, another boat ride, another few beaches - it's a hard life! Not for the crocs, sunning themselves in the ...

The best news yet!

Written from Jalcomulco, Mexico: A phone call was just received directly from Jordan at 19:35 our time. Joel is awake and recognizes his brother as well as other friends and family. He has little memory of the incident but is making jokes and talking about kayaking. One lung continues to labour but the doctors plan to take him out of the ICU tomorrow. The family will be sending us further updates as they come along.

Good News

... securely in the hands of Canadian medical experts the WILD crew will be participating in a full Critical Incident Stress Debriefing before loading up and transferring to Huatulco for a final group paddle into the Pacific. Spirits amongst the group are currently as strong as possible under the circumstances.... everyone has passed their thoughts and energies along to Joel, Jordan and his family and are now prepared to move forward as a group for future adventures.

Hike to Chopilapa (Attack of the Killer Ormigas)

... the top we had a beautiful view above the whole canyon and could see the hills for miles around - each having a distinctive flat top. We continued on down and through the forest before arriving tired and hot into Chopilapa where we met the lovely families who live there. After some introductions we went down to the river to bathe before heading off to another house to say hello and have a beer. All 18 of there family members were in the house - luckily Jim speaks ...

Beach report, where to go and have fun!

... down and find the most gorgeous and biggest shells! That is guaranteed! There are plenty of other beaches like La Boca where we usually go with our friend Esperanza and has a lagoon, there is Buena Vista Beach, Playa Vista Hermosa.... and more and for you to discover when you get here. One last comment for some of those beaches: If there are no restaurants close by, make sure to prepare yourself to go out in the nature to take care of your necessities! No public toilets anywhere!

Adios PV! Cruising and beach living.

... The mechanic reasoned that if the contact was not great we could be getting a pause in response of the system. The price for all the work was under $30 and we decided to go ahead with it, even though it did not sound like the best diagnosis of the problem. As he was at it, we knew that the console would be removed and the air filter could be changed. Michael dug around the van and found the replacement air filter, however we had one ...

Fiesta Longanista

Well, after travelling 300 km in 6 hrs I made it to El Tujin Ruinas. Amazing in size covers about 10 sq km and they still havenīt finished. I drove down the rough highways and 40 km roads to Papantla a nice small village where I drank a cervasa with a guy cooking cows feet in a open flame cauldron on the roadside and then headed to the Gulf of Mexico before night. I made it to a small beach town called Tauninil? well ok ...
