... procedure lasted 1.5 hours (which is relatively good for this border).

The cost of the trip covered food, campsites (upgrades were often available for a few extra dollars), tents, sleeping mats, transportation, many game drives, and the common "police checkups" which could only be passed by paying them a fee. Other optional excursions were at our own expense.
