Flying to South Africa (cheaply) wasn't the most logical thing in the world. Uganda -> Rwanda -> Ethiopia -> S. Africa. We flew Ethiopian Air and decided that Ethiopians have a really cool language. Spoken, and (especially) written. We spent 2 nights in Joburg. The nights were spent inside our hostel because night time is a "no-go" in the city. ... take a photo, but we managed to scare them off before we had got our cameras primed. Back home we chilled out and awaited the dreaded hour to leave for the airport. Jackie and I somehow managed to squeeze everything into our rucksacks and 6.50pm, Kevin & Val kindly dropped us off at departures, where we said our good-byes. ... way back to Jo'burg we drove along the coast, I couldn't resist to visit another pinguin be honest Mark likes them as well! We could go watching the whales in Hermanus. Every year from June to December the Soutern right whales are in this bay. Time to give birth and feed their baby's. After this period all the whales head to the South.
The calves drink almost 600 liter of milk and grow 3 cm per day!
