    ... We followed the directions to the first village then followed yellow arrows as directed (felt I was back on the Camino when we weren't lost!) . Who knows where and how we went wrong but ended up through olive groves on very faint overgrown track climbing through brambles ( just a few scratches here and there) obviously on private land - lots of spider webs but I fixed that...Vicki loves to go first!     ... but had to reward ourselves - all this brain strain! with ice creams including a local speciality to die for buffalo and caramel ice cream.     ... The single kayaks were very hard to steer. The banks of the inseam of Como's eastern leg was beautiful, with villas new and old, as well as a few birds.  We paddled about 20 minutes south, then returned north towards the Rockefeller Cliffs that we thought reminded us slightly of the Cliffs of Insanity from the movie The Princess Bride.  The paddle lasted about an hour and before long the group was touring the streets of Bellagio with gelato in their hands. ...
