      So we arrived at the campsite at Imperia with another problem with the Alarm Siren Sounding and the Engine Immobiliser kicking in... We now have 3 problems still to sort out, the Fiat Speedometer, Kitchen Tap and the Alarm..! Claim with Amex being processed for the Water Diesel and the repair from the Fiat Dealer to flush the system and just to keep everything ticking along also contacted AGIP Service Stations HQ... Can't do any ...

      ... that it was an ideal spot to do a boat trip from. Turns out this "beach stop" was a gravel car park with campers crammed in far too close for our liking. The area was an industrial port and not a beach in site. And the boat trip - a boat bus - for the princely sum of 25euros each! After deliberating over a cold prosseco at the harbour front (at least an hr walk from our stop) we decided we would move on in the morning and head to the cinque terre. The drive ...

      Tuesday 7 October

      The weather did not cooperate today. The highlight was dinner in a little restaurant in Molini di Triora.

      It was a five course feast of home cooked Italian fare. Two courses of antipasta, then all sorts of pasta, then meat dishes. We were all so full we couldn't fit in dessert.

      ... the easiest tasks..... We finally found one in a building that didn’t look like a shopping centre at all. It didn't help that it was pouring rain.



      The drive up the mountain was scary. If the roads and traffic weren’t bad enough
      the fog, or was it cloud, made it extremely difficult. Meanwhile our travelling companions were starving at home.
