Saturday we were up early, had breakfast, disembarked, walked to the train station and rode to Schiphol Airport in plenty of time to catch our flight to Munich. Zell am See was the rest area Easy Company were sent to after the war ended to conduct occupation duties, relax and regroup. The ...

Arriving at the lake I thought it was going to be just tourist land, there was a huge car park, tourist info, shops and restaurants. Once we got on the boat, it was. Just quiet and the beautiful lake. The boat used electric motors. We spent most of the day visiting the different spots and going for walks. We had lovely hot chocolate that set us up for more waking! When we ...

... our B&B as it was a good deal, but no free cancellation without knowing the full story about Eagles nest! 4. I found out later that Eagles Nest does not open til May! We miss out by a couple of days, but we could not cancel our booking without paying for the room. 5. We had decided to buy a German rail pass about 10 days before leaving ( we now found out we could have bought it in Germany!) but we ...
